Bueno, aquí les traigo algo de mi banda en donde canto UNSAFE......!!!!....
Aqui estamos metiéndole con todo, haciendo un cover de PeArL JaM, en un conocido boliche de La Paz - Bolivia (Equinoccio Pub), con motivos de nuestra participación en la Final de la Marathon Rock 2008...............DISFRUTEN....!!!!

Este es el primer disco en solitario a modo de proyecto paralelo del bajista de Pearl Jam, Jeff Ament.....aunque hace algún tiempo ya vino hiciendo música más o menos en la misma línea con su grupo Three Fish....

Un disco que con 10 temas en compañía de Dug Pinick (bajista y cantante de King X) y Richard Stuverud, muestra otra faceta de Ament.. con un sonido que va desde lo más tranquilo a lo folk, a sonidos de instrumentos más experimentales como en el Track Nº 4 "Relapse" .

Hey jammers....disculpas por haberme perdido, estuve sin tiempo debatiéndome entre la universidad y los ensayos con mi banda UNSAFE ! (que entre otras cosas hacemos el Tributo Oficial a Pearl Jam acá en la Ciudad de La Paz - Bolivia)preparando algunas composiciones que las estaré subiendo en audio a este blog para que me cuenten si les agrada....por el momento solo colgué algunos demos en el sidebar y uno que otro covercillo para matar el tiempo....comenten si les gustó.....

IN MEMORY OF....LeRoi Moore (1961 - 2008)

LeRoi Moore, saxofonista y fundador de la banda Dave Matthews Band, falleció el pasado día Martes 19 de agosto, a los 46 años, a consecuencia de las heridas sufridas en un accidente el pasado junio, informó hoy su agente, Ambrosia Healy.

El músico falleció esta tarde en el Presbyterian Medical Center de Hollywood, en Los Ángeles, tras una repentina complicación. Moore fue hospitalizado a finales de junio después de sufrir un accidente en su finca en las afueras de Charlottesville (Virginia), donde permaneció varios días con pronóstico grave.

A causa del accidente sufrió una perforación de pulmón y varias costillas rotas, lo que le obligó a abandonar el resto de la gira de verano de la banda, y tuvo que ser sustituido por Béla Fleck y Jeff Coffin, miembro de The Flecktones.

Moore ya había vuelto a Los Ángeles, donde seguía un programa intensivo de rehabilitación, pero un repentino malestar le hizo volver al hospital.

El saxofonista, nacido el 7 de septiembre de 1961 en Durham (Carolina del Norte) fundó la banda en 1991 junto con el guitarrista y cantante sudafricano Dave Matthews, apostando por la mezcla de sonidos folk, rock y jazz.

Moore era un músico polifacético que le gustaba participar en sesiones de improvisación en las que mostraba sus dotes con los distintos tipos de saxofón (bajo, barítono, tenor, alto y soprano), así como la flauta y el clarinete bajo.

Según la web oficial de la Dave Matthews Band, la principal influencia de Moore, que recibió primero una formación clásica, fue el jazz.

Precisamente fue esa formación la que le permitió tener los conocimientos para improvisar y probar nuevas ideas. Eso le llevó a emprender algunos proyectos aparte del grupo, como el álbum "Code Magentàs".

Sin duda es una noticia trágica para el mundo de la música. Muchos dicen que Jeff Coffin es mejor músico que Moore, pero Moore fue y será siempre el alma de DMB.

Con su marcha se ha ido una parte de DMB y deja un gran vacío en el corazón de todos los fans de DMB. Descansa en paz amigo mío.

Eso es lo que entregó PEARL JAM a su público, fueron 13 shows hasta el momento en su TOUR 2008 y Eddie Vedder ya comenzó su gira en solitario......así que ya les estaré trayendo más música y más sorpresas en este blog dedicado entera y exclusivamente a mi banda favorita PEARL JAM....!!!!
